BPC SurveyManager and Portal Mode

There is a new portal mode available in the ACFE SurveyEngine. It allows you to run class based survey submission, and if you also use the anonymous survey mode, you will not need to publish the surveys to users.

These features might also be the easiest way to enter hard-copy surveys collected as part of the LSS 2010 project.

The explanation of how to use the portal mode is in your 2010 documentation and also summarised on the screen of the web client. In short, for LSS you should enable the portal in the web client and add a password for the portal (to be shared with students using the portal in a class type situation) and enable the portal for each survey (like the LSS) and enable "Anonymous Responders" for the survey. Both of these are available in the "Manage Survey" screen.

If you do this you will not need to upload responders and send invitations to them prior to entering responses.
